Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

East Villa Pty Ltd (ABN 85 629 995 133), trading as The Tradie Business Build ("Tradie Business Build", "we", "us") runs tradiebusinessbuild.com.au and the tools on it. We are an Australian company based in Queensland. This policy explains how we handle personal information, in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Spam Act 2003 (Cth).

2. What we collect

• Details you give us: your name, email, mobile number, trade and anything you write in a message, when you use a form, save a tool to your phone, email us or call us.
• Purchase details: when you buy a tool, our checkout provider (Kajabi) collects your name, email and payment details. Card details are handled by the payment processor. We do not see or store your full card number.
• Tool answers: the numbers and answers you enter into our tools are saved on your own device (in your browser's storage). They are not sent to us, unless you use a button such as "Email me my numbers", which sends a summary to us so we can email it to you.
• Website use: we count simple events, such as a page being viewed or a tool being finished, to see which tools help people. This uses no cookies and does not identify you. Our server briefly uses your IP address to stop spam on our forms.

3. How we use it

• To give you what you asked for: your results, your tool, a reply to your message.
• To deliver and support the tools you buy.
• To send you tips, tools and offers by email or SMS, where you have agreed to this.
• To improve our tools and website.
• To meet our legal obligations.

4. Emails and SMS from us

We only send marketing emails and SMS when you have agreed to receive them, for example when you save one of our tools to your phone. Every message says who it is from and tells you how to stop them. You can unsubscribe at any time by using the unsubscribe link, replying "unsubscribe" or "STOP", or emailing us. We will action your request within 5 working days.

5. Who we share it with

We share personal information only with the service providers who help us run the business, and only so they can do that job. They include our website host, Kajabi (our checkout, email and course platform), our email provider and, when we use it, an SMS provider. We may also share information if the law requires it.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information.

6. Information stored overseas

Some of our providers, including Kajabi, store data on servers outside Australia, mainly in the United States. We choose providers that protect personal information, and we take reasonable steps to make sure they handle it in a way that is consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.

7. How we keep it safe

We keep personal information in password-protected systems that only we can access, and we use secure (HTTPS) connections on our website. We keep it only while we need it for the reasons above, then delete it or remove anything that identifies you.

If a data breach is likely to cause you serious harm, we will tell you and do what the law requires.

8. Seeing or correcting your information

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it. Email hello@tradiebusinessbuild.com.au and we will respond within 30 days. There is no charge.

You can delete the answers saved in any of our tools yourself, using the "Clear my answers" button in the tool, or by clearing your browser's data.

9. Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, email us first and we will try to fix it within 30 days. If you are still not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed. The current version is always on this page.
